Q: Can my Prepaid Card be used for both US and International Merchant Transactions?

A: For the purpose of aiding law enforcement in the prevention of money laundering pursuant to FinCEN, unless Aimia restricts its single use incentive or award cards with balances of $1,000 or less so that such cards can only be used to make purchases from merchants located within the United States, the issuer must obtain and verify the card recipient’s identity prior to activation of the card. Verification of identity would require the  card recipient to provide the issuer  with their name, address, telephone, date of birth and social security number which would then have to be verified by the issuer  prior to activation of the card. In order to avoid the burden on our customers of having to provide such information and the costs of verifying the such information, the issuer of this card has elected to restrict its non-reloadable card product to domestic use only, so that the card can only be used to make purchases from merchants located within the United States.

Q: Are there any restrictions as to where the card can be used?

A: The Visa® Prepaid card opens the door to millions of merchants. Simply present it anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. When using the card to pay at the pump at a gas station, the card may be authorized for a greater amount than the actual charge. To avoid a potential decline, we recommend paying inside and informing the cashier how much the cardholder would like to charge prior to pumping. Allowing up to $75 for gas station purchases when using pay-at-the-pump is a good rule.

Q: Will the Prepaid cards have an expiration date or any other restrictions?

A: The standard expiration date that will be printed on the Card is 6 months. Other terms and conditions will be shipped to the cardholder with the card and can be found under Terms and Conditions on the Home Page of this website.

Q: Can the card be used at an ATM to withdraw cash?

A: This Prepaid card may not be used at ATMs to get cash.

Q: What happens if the card is lost or stolen?

A: If the cardholder reports that a card has been lost or stolen, we will issue a new card for a replacement fee of $10.00.

Q: How will the cardholder be able to access their transactions / check balance?

A: A summary of all transactions and balance information can be found at www.mycardlink.com or by the cardholder calling the toll free number listed on the back of the card.

Q: Are Prepaid cards transferable?

A: Cards that are not personalized with a name may be given to someone else. At the time of card activation, the card recipient will be asked to provide home phone and cardholder registration information to use for security verification purposes.

Q: Can additional funds be loaded to the card?

A: This Visa prepaid card has a fixed-value, which means no additional dollars can be deposited in this account.

Q: Can I return unused expired cards?

A: Yes, if returned within 30 days of expiration, however depending on the number of cards needing to be returned, this may be subject to a mutually agreed upon administrative fee. Cards must be returned to Aimia within 30 days from expiration. Cards indicating an expiration date beyond 30 days may not be returned. Please order cards as you need them as they will always have an expiration date of 6 months from the month they are requested. If you wish to return a card(s), please contact cardservices.us@aimia.com to send notification of the need for the return.

Q: How long does it take to process the order and receive the Prepaid cards?

A: You will receive your order within 5 to 7 business days.

Q: Can I send Prepaid cards to an address other than to my billing address?

A: Yes, enter the address in the shipping section. However, if you have Standard Salutation cards in your order, your entire order within your shopping cart will ship to the address indicated in the shipping section. If multiple shipping locations are required, you must complete a separate order for each location.

Q: Do I have other payment options besides Visa, MasterCard and American Express?

A: At this time Visa, MasterCard and American Express are the only payment options for web orders. You may arrange to set up a program for invoice payment by contacting cardservices.us@aimia.com. A set up charge will apply.

Q: What if I need a receipt for my business expense report?

A: When you submit your order online, you will receive an email confirmation that will include total Prepaid card quantities, values and fees. Please retain this as your receipt.

Q: Are there any shipping and handling charges associated with my order?

A: Yes. A $5.95 per card fee and an associated processing fee is added to each Prepaid card in your shopping cart.

Q: Are there any card usage fees which apply to the individuals?

A: No. The only exception is a replacement fee for lost or stolen cards. There is a fee of $10.00 per card to cover administrative processing & mailing costs, charged to the individual participant's card balance.
